clara macy

Clara Macy eats, sleeps and drinks Ayurveda & Yoga. The life long obsession began in 1998, when she completed her 200-hour yoga certification. She then continued to study all over the world with top yogis, but uncovered something more. She learned that Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga was a huge component to proper lifestyle management, not just yoga. After many books and seminars later, she decided to apply for Ayurvedic practitioners’ program and began her life-long studies in Ayurveda through Kerala Ayurvedic Institute. Clara has taken the teachings of Ayurveda and integrated them into her yoga classes. She also offers Ayurvedic consultations and is a certified Ayurvedic Therapist.

the yoga:

The perfect blend of SUP Yoga in nature’s playground with a daily Ayurvedic yoga practice honoring circadium rhythms of the day. Mornings will be spent building our inner fire while evenings will bring us back to a relaxed mental and physical state.

Our days will also include workshops with Dr. Jackie Fields focused on unique health topics such as Women's health, optimal nutrition, detoxification protocols , optimizing hormonal health, sacred skin care, and gut health.

The sea

Sea of Cortez

Unique marine life has created a thriving ecosystem; smaller microorganisms attract the diverse small fish, which then attract larger gamefish. Between the waters themselves and the hundreds of islands within, the Sea of Cortez and nearby lagoon Magdalena Bay are active home, birthing, and nesting sites for a large number of marine mammals, birds, and fish, some of which you can only find here. Blue Whales, Humpback Whales, California Gray Whales, Orcas, Manta Ray, and Leatherback Sea Turtles migrate annually to the area, and it’s not unlikely to spot a Vaquina Porpoise speeding alongside your boat or kayak

Kayaking and SUP

Las Cruces provides a fleet of sea kayaks and stand up paddle boards guests can take exploring. These water toys are a great way to get up close and personal with the diverse and exciting sea life.

Whale Watching

Every year between late December and mid-March thousands of gray whales make their annual migration through the Pacific Ocean. It is a spectacular event. During these months it is possible to see these magnificent creatures and experience one of the world’s most memorable wildlife adventures.

The Land

Naturalists from around the world are attracted to the area’s sheer diversity; desert flora and fauna, mangrove estuaries, and the coastal shorelines make up the intriguing terrain. The area provides nesting sites and migratory habitat for about 210 bird species and a number of endemic species, including the world's largest cactus, blacktailed jack rabbit, ground squirrel and a variety of reptiles. Valleys covered in the thousands of desert plant varieties lead to ravines and streambeds, the site of primitive cave and gorge paintings and carvings.

The unique alluvial plains, dramatic cliffs, and waterside wonders make Azul de Cortez and the Baja peninsula a flourishing tropical ecosystem. Explore10,000 acres of private, pristine coastline, breathtaking trails, and mountain pools.

Las Crusas

Historic Rancho de las Cruces is an exclusive Baja seaside beach resort located on a natural sanctuary of more than 10,000 acres and 7 miles of private pristine coastline. It's hotel is situated along the white sandy beaches of the Sea of Cortéz'.

Gaze across the Sea of Cortéz to the enchanted Island of Cerralvo, once known to the Spanish conquistadors as the Island of Pearls. Wake to the morning sun and be filled with awe as it turns the tranquil sea into a masterpiece of color. Soak up the majestic Santa Cruz Mountains, stunning desert gardens and oasis of stately palms while enjoying attentive and personalized service.

Whale Shark Tour - includes boat, transport from ranch, and an awesome picnic lunch on a secret beach ($100 PP)

Delicious cuisine

Las Cruces chefs create delicious, healthy, customized meals. The menu changes daily integrating a variety of Baja’s freshest fare. Most of the ingredients are procured right here on the property’s huerta, where vegetables and fruits are cultivated and picked daily for your enjoyment. Whatever your request may be, the kitchen staff will be happy to help satisfy the craving.

Our retreat to Baja begins and ends at Rancho Del Las Cruces. Life Force suggests flying into Los Cabos (SJD). The drive from the Los Cabos airport to Las Cruces is 3 hours and we will organize a shuttle to the retreat location for $75 round trip per person.
